This gives a brief explanation of my power plant's process cycle. The prime mover is a GE7F industrial gas turbine. This powers a 175 MW electrical generator and the exhaust from the gas turbine s used to produce steam in a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) which then supplies 3 smaller steam turbine generators with a total of about 60MW of electrical output. Part of that steam is "extracted" and sold to various customers who use it for process heating and cooling in the area.
